New Installations
Installing a ceiling fan where there is no existing wiring requires running a new circuit or extending an existing lighting circuit to the location, fitting a fan-rated ceiling mount, and wiring the fan and any light kit. We also install the wall switch or remote receiver as required.
Replacing an Existing Fan
If there is already a fan or light fitting at the location, replacement is straightforward in most cases. We remove the old unit, confirm the mount and wiring are in good condition, and install the new fan. Ceiling height and the presence of a light kit affect installation time.
Wall Switches and Remote Controls
Most ceiling fans require a separate switch for the fan and one for the light. If you only have a single switch at the location, we can run the additional switch wiring or wire the fan for remote control operation. Remote receivers are installed inside the fan canopy and do not require visible wiring changes.
Outdoor Fans
Outdoor-rated fans for covered alfresco areas and verandahs must be specifically rated for outdoor use, standard indoor fans will fail quickly in an exposed location. We supply and install outdoor-rated units, or install customer-supplied fans that meet the outdoor rating requirements.

Yes. Ceiling fans must be installed on a fan-rated ceiling mount designed to handle the dynamic load of a rotating fan. Standard light fitting mounts are not rated for this purpose.
Yes. Most ceiling fans can be fitted with a downrod and ball joint to suit a raked ceiling. We confirm suitability at the quote stage.
