Pump Electrical Connections
Pumps require a correctly sized dedicated circuit from the switchboard, appropriate cable rated for the environment, a correctly rated isolator adjacent to the pump, and a connection that meets the pump manufacturer's specifications.
Outdoor and underground pump installations require correctly rated cable and conduit, RCD protection, and weatherproof enclosures where components are exposed to the elements.
Pump Control Boards
Pump control boards, also called pump controllers or pump starter panels, manage the operation of pumps: starting, stopping, protection against dry running or overload, and in some cases automatic level control via float switches.
We install new control boards, replace failed or obsolete boards, and fault find on existing control systems. Control board work requires an understanding of both the electrical and control logic, we have experience across a range of residential, commercial, and irrigation pump control systems.
Residential Applications
Common residential pump installations include rainwater tank pumps, pressure pumps, bore pumps for garden irrigation, and pool and spa circulation pumps. We connect new pumps, replace failed pumps, and diagnose electrical faults on existing pump installations.
Commercial and Industrial
Commercial pump applications, stormwater, wastewater, and irrigation — typically involve larger motors, three-phase power, and more complex control systems. We work on these installations and advise where specialist pump engineering input is required.

Possibly. We check whether the circuit is live, whether the isolator or circuit breaker has tripped, and whether power is reaching the pump. If the electrical supply is intact and the pump is not running, the fault is mechanical, the pump motor or the pump itself.
Yes. Pumps should be on a dedicated circuit, correctly rated for the motor load. Sharing a circuit with other loads can cause nuisance tripping and may void the pump warranty.
