AC and DC Chargers
Most home installations use a Level 2 AC charger, typically 7.4 kW or 22 kW, wired to a dedicated circuit from your switchboard. This is the standard setup for overnight charging at home and suits most electric vehicles on the market.
DC fast chargers are larger and typically installed in commercial or multi-tenancy settings where rapid charging is required. We assess your property, your switchboard capacity, and your vehicle before recommending a solution.
Tethered vs Untethered
Tethered chargers have the cable permanently attached, convenient if you always charge the same vehicle. Untethered units require you to plug in a cable each time, which suits households with multiple EVs or different connector types.

What the Process Looks Like
We assess your switchboard and available capacity. If an upgrade is required, we quote that separately. We run a dedicated circuit from the switchboard to the charger location, mount the unit, and test the full installation before we leave.
Most residential installations take between two and four hours. Commercial and strata installations vary depending on the number of bays and the condition of existing infrastructure.
Why Use a Licensed Electrician
EV charger installation is electrical work under the Electricity Safety Act. It must be done by a licensed electrician. An unlicensed installation voids your warranty, can void your home insurance, and creates a genuine fire and safety risk. We issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety for every installation.
