When to Call
Call us immediately if you have: complete loss of power to the property or a section of it, visible sparks or arcing from an outlet, switchboard, or appliance, a burning smell with no obvious source, a safety switch that keeps tripping and will not reset, or any situation where you suspect a live wire or electrical fault poses an immediate risk.
If there is smoke, flames, or an active electrical fire, leave the building and call 000 first.
Common Emergencies We Attend
Power out, partial or complete loss of supply to the property. This may be a tripped circuit, a blown main fuse, a fault in the switchboard, or a problem at the point where the supply enters the building.
Tripped safety switch that will not reset, a safety switch that trips and cannot be reset usually indicates a fault on the circuit it protects. The fault needs to be identified and rectified before the circuit can be restored.
Sparking outlets or fittings, sparks indicate a loose connection, damaged wiring, or a failed component. These are a fire risk and should not be used until inspected.
Burning smell, an electrical burning smell without an obvious source can indicate overheating wiring inside a wall or ceiling. This requires immediate investigation.
How We Respond
When you call, you speak directly to us. We take the details, assess the urgency, and give you an honest estimate of when we can arrive. For genuine emergencies, live hazards, no power to a medical device, commercial premises with trading at risk, we prioritise accordingly.
On arrival we make the situation safe first, then diagnose and repair. We carry a range of common components on the vehicle so most faults can be resolved in a single visit.
After-Hours Rates
After-hours and weekend call-outs may attract a higher rate than standard hours. We are transparent about rates before we proceed, call us and we will give you a clear answer before anyone comes out. We quote clearly before proceeding with any work beyond the initial assessment.

Any situation involving a live hazard, fire risk, or complete loss of power where safety is at risk. A tripped circuit breaker in a domestic property during business hours is urgent but not always an emergency. Sparking from a fitting, a burning smell, or loss of power to life-safety equipment is an emergency.
It means there is a fault on one of the circuits that safety switch protects. The switch is doing its job correctly. The fault needs to be found and fixed before the circuit is restored. We identify which circuit is causing the trip and isolate the fault.

If there is any visible arcing, sparking, or fire, leave the building and call 000. Otherwise, isolate what you can at the switchboard, turn off the affected circuit or the main switch if you are unsure. Do not attempt to investigate inside walls or fittings.
